British export order books became a little emptier in November, the latest CBI survey shows, with a net 11% of companies “below average” vs. 6% a month earlier. The outlook is more upbeat though, with a net 17% expecting expansion in the next three months. Panjiva data shows seaborne exports to the U.S. increased 15% in October, yet the dollar value of earnings fell. With the form of ‘Brexit’ yet to be determined, Britain’s export outlook is far from clear.
