The freight forwarders continue to surprise positively with their first quarter results. DSV reported a 19% growth in revenues on a year earlier. While driven in large part by its UTi acquisition, it was 3% better than analysts’ expectations. That came despite gross profits per ton in seafreight rising just 3%. Expeditors International meanwhile reported a 9% increase in revenues, or 1% better than hoped. Its seafreight handling rise of 7% confirms the trend of increased consolidation in the NVOCC sector.
