Freight-forwarder Expeditors International reported third quarter revenues that were 15% higher than a year earlier, and 5% better than expected. While airfreight grew quicker than ocean, its 18% revenue growth came at the expense of a 6% drop in NRPU (net revenue per unit). The ocean freight business meanwhile saw an 8% rise in NRPU, the first since 1Q 2016, showing a disciplined approach to growth.
