Shipping firm CSAV will exit the car carrying business, taking it a step closer to becoming a financial holding firm – CSAV sold its container-line to Hapag-Lloyd in 2014 and recently increased its stake. CSAV’s major routing for its car ferry business was on Chilean-inbound routes where the value of vehicles carried dropped 30.0% year over year in the 12 months to Nov. 30.
