The U.S. ITC has completed a review of competition in the U.S. aluminum industry, finding it is “widely affected by government intervention” in other countries. China is flagged as a major issue in the report, which was commissioned by House Ways & Means in April 2016. It is separate to the Trump administration’s section 232 review which may be released this month, but may add Congressional support for action on imports.
