The French trade deficit widened 4% on a year earlier in November after exports increased 1.7% on higher deliveries by Airbus, but imports grew by a quicker 1.9% on higher oil product costs. The outlook for exports in December is positive. The recent INSEE management survey became more upbeat, in common with those seen in Germany and the U.S. Panjiva data shows exports to the U.S. increased 3% in December, the sixth straight rise as a result of a weaker euro and higher shipments of auto-parts and glass products.
