U.S. computer imports likely had a second straight year of declines in 2016 – Panjiva data shows a 2% drop to 129.1 million units in the 12 months through November 30. The decline was led by a 22% slump in laptop imports in November, suggesting a disappointing uptake for new models from Apple and others. Servers did much better however, with a 23% increase in November.
