The Indian government has cut import duties on LED/LCD panels used in TVs to 5% from 10%. That comes as India tries to kickstart its currently small domestic manufacturing industry, and follows an increase in the “Make in India” tariff in February that led producers to threaten to cut production of TVs in India.
