Indonesian apparel needs help abroad as much as tariffs at home

The Indonesian government may apply tariffs to imports of apparel from Bangladesh, China, Singapore and Vietnam to protect its domestic manufacturers. That comes only shortly after signing the RCEP trade deal which should lead to tariff free trade with China, Singapore and Vietnam.
