Freight forwarder Kerry Logistics has launched a China-to-Turkey rail offering on the new Baku-Kars line. One challenge is that new paperwork requirements on the Chinese side from mid-July could significantly complicate the shipping process. Kerry is nonetheless well ahead of the pack with just $10 million of Chinese exports having moved by rail to Turkey in the past year, or less than 0.1% of the total.
