K+N’s COVID-19 downturn continues as pharma handling slips on some routes

Kuehne and Nagel reported Q2 revenues which fell by 8.7% year over year with EBIT down by 18.0%. That was considerably worse than DP-DHL’s 25% EBIT expansion and may reflect a mixture of weaker volumes as well as technical factors such as currency rates. K+N’s revenues from ocean freight fell by 11.9% year over year on an 11.7% slide in volumes though that was still “a better volume development than expected” according to CEO Detlef Trefzger.
