K+N’s Volume Discipline Helps Profit Recovery, Cuts Trade War Exposure

K+N has reported revenue growth of 3.1% year over year for 2Q. That was below analysts’ expectations of 5.7% for the freight forwarder and was due to an 8.4% slide in airfreight volumes resulting from “growing trade barriers” according to the company. K+N nonetheless managed to increase its EBITDA margin to 8.4% compared to 8.1% expected, in part due to a disciplined approach to market share.
