First half results from Lego included a slowdown in U.S. sales – the company is building more factories to meet demand. U.S. imports of Lego products have grown in the longer term – Panjiva data shows expansion in 15 of the past 18 months. A 17% drop in August likely reflects the popularity of ‘Star Wars’ sets last year – if ‘Rogue One’ is not as popular Lego may find it is missing a piece of its growth.
