Trade policy events in April will include Biden administration meetings with the semiconductor industry and a heads of state meeting between the U.S. and Japan. The former will focus on strained supply chains and the latter may provide clarity on relations vis-a-vis China. The administration will also soon have to decide whether to ask Congress to extend Trade Promotion Authority. Elsewhere the WTO is due to review Vietnam’s trade policies.
