The rate of expansion of employment in American logistics surpassed the economy at large once again in June with payrolls rise 3.2% on a year earlier vs. a 1.6% rise more broadly. E-commerce remains the main driver (courier payrolls rose 9%) though heavy haulage is also doing better too. Trucking rose at the fastest rate since September 2015 while marine employment grew at more than twice the rate seen so far in 2018.
