Container-line Matson reported a faster-than-expected revenue growth of 8.4% in the third quarter, helped by a 22.0% surge in logistics services. The container shipping operations saw a 3.6% slump in volumes, though average revenues per sailing likely increased by around 8%, ahead of the industry average. The company faces the threat of lower volumes due to widening U.S.-China trade tariffs.
