Microsoft have announced that the new “Xbox One X” videogame console will launch on November 7. That follows Nintendo’s Switch in March and Sony’s revised PlayStation last September. The new system comes ahead of the seasonal peak holiday buying season. Panjiva data shows U.S. imports of the Xbox and related products have already dropped ahead of the new launch, with a 51% slide in the three months to May 31 on a year earlier. Total videogame imports have increased though, as a result of shipments associated with Nintendo’s Switch which jumped 248% over the same period.
