New Zealand’s exports fell 6% on a year earlier in February. That was worse than the unchanged result expected by economists, but can be explained by a one-off export of an oil platform a year earlier. Shipments to China increased 6%, driven by dairy exports – the leading product line Panjiva data shows. Yet, maintaining this growth may be a challenge as regional rival Australia is in the process of agreeing new agriculture deals with China.
