Exports from New Zealand fell to their lowest since August 2013, according to official figures. While highly seasonal, these were still 9% lower than a year earlier and 6% lower than economists expected. Dairy product exports were weak. Shipments to the U.S. – led by wine, timber and fruit – fell 17%, leading the overall drop in exports. China was better though – exports increased 2% on a year earlier.
