Ocean Network Express (ONE) will start offering a container-line service from three Asian markets to three Latin American markets including Brazil. ONE’s interest in the shipping to Brazil isn’t a surprise its imports from the three Asian markets grew 15.4% in the 12 months to Sept. 30 on a year earlier to reach 644.3k TEUs. What is unusual is that the service is being offered jointly with Hapag-Lloyd and MSC. While Hapag-Lloyd is part of THE Alliance with ONE, MSC is in the competing 2M alliance which includes Maersk.
