The U.S. has determined that Chinese companies including Sanmei have been dumping shipments of refrigerant R-134a at rates of over 137%. The initial ruling in June was enough to deter Chinese exporters – volumes in July were 74% lower than May’s peak. Alternative suppliers include Mexichem’s U.K. facilities and Solvay’s German operations.
