Petitions to the U.S. government to investigate trade policy infractions increased in June. There were five petitions regarding subsidies / dumping of imports and four relating to intellectual property. That represented a 350% year over year increase. One of the dumping / subsidy petitions relates to imports of silicon metal, used in steel and semiconductor manufacturing, from four countries.
