The U.S. ITC will vote on September 22 in the injury phase of its section 201 review of crystalline silicon solar cells and panels. Formal policy recommendations are not due until November 13. The review is different to regular anti-dumping / subsidy cases – President Trump can implement its recommendations directly and immediately. Action seems likely given the President’s desire to show progress in the administration’s deficit-cutting policies. A similar vote relating to washing machines is due October 5.
