Specialty chemicals producer Croda reported revenue growth of just 1.7% year over year in the six month to June 30, with CEO Stephen Foots having stated that the U.S.-China trade war’s tariffs have “an impact in the industry, all parts of our industry, not just in the commodity areas”. The 11.9% year over year decline in Croda’s U.S. seaborne imports in 2Q has not been down to the direct effects of the trade war.
