Eastman Kodak will suffer a $26 million drag to earnings in 2018 from higher aluminum prices, including the effect of duties imposed by the Trump administration’s section 232 of the industry, CEO Jeff Clarke has indicated. The imaging systems maker has already cut its imports of aluminum alloy sheet and foil by 18.5% and 37.0% respectively in the three months to Oct. 31 on a year earlier. The company may also face duties on its imports of film from China at a rate of 10% currently, rising to 25% in the new year.
