Fashion retailer Urban Outfitters delivered a 9.0% year over year same-store sales growth in the fiscal third quarter while cutting its inventories to 59.9 days of revenues from 63.4 a year earlier. There appear to have been concerns that logistics disruptions caused by other shippers trying to beat U.S. tariffs on Chinese exports could jeopardize that. However CEO Richard Hayne indicated there was “a little backup in October” but everything has since “straightened out”.
