Far from having a sunny outlook, solar and wind energy equipment imports to the U.S. face a darker future under President-elect Trump. The initial policy plans appear to include more support for fossil fuels. Panjiva data shows wind equipment imports down 11% on a year earlier in October, though solar cells and panels climbed 16%. Hanwha Q-Cells became the largest exporter of solar equipment to the U.S. after its Thai-based factories shipments to that market climbed 700% on a year earlier in October.
