The U.S. ITA has received yet another steel trade petition, this time into imports of steel rebar from Turkey, Japan and Taiwan. This followed a case in 2014 that found against Mexico, and allowed Turkey to dominate the import market. The U.S. imported $556 million of rebar from the three in the 12 months to July, and imports increased 13% over the same period in weight terms, Panjiva data shows.
