Turkey has joined the EU and U.S. in applying anti-dumping duties against Chinese solar panel exports. This should have a limited direct impact on exporters including Trina Solar and Solarfun as Turkey accounted for just 2% of exports in the past 12 months. It had represented an alternative customer market having accounted for $435 million of exports in the peak 12 months to August 2016. Yet, this has now dropped to an annualized $62 million in the past three months. India has become China’s largest export market, and so far it has not started any investigations of supplies.
