The headline expectations for U.S. manufacturing from the ISM was well below that expected by economists. Import expectations fell to their lowest since October 2015. Yet, export expectations remained upbeat and stable. This marks a contrast to China, the U.K. and France (negative but recovering). German manufacturers are also positive, but becoming less so.
