Details regarding inspection failures at an Emergent Biosolutions facility for producing AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccines have started to emerge. That’s unlikely to change the current rollout globally which is increasingly reliant on the U.S. and other G7 members as India and Thailand pause exports. The U.S. rollout can be seen in vaccine exports which jumped to $820 million in May, equivalent to half the prior 12 months’ total.
