U.S. imports have been steadily increasing, with a 10% rise in the six months to November 30 on a year earlier, Panjiva data shows. Mexican suppliers account for 93% of supplies, but are highly fragmented. With the top 10 Mexican suppliers only accounting for 49% of U.S.-bound exports they may have trouble negotiating with buyers who will have more choice available.
