The governments of Indonesia and Canada are starting negotiations to formulate a free trade agreement “as soon as possible”. That would likely be more wide-ranging in coverage than the RCEP free trade deal which Indonesia joined in 2020 and could be a stepping stone to joining the CPTPP deal of which Canada is a member.
