A further extension of sanctions against the Iranian government by the administration of President Donald Trump has followed a series of attacks on shipping around the Straits of Hormuz. While much of the focus has been on oil shipping, a 24.9% surge in container shipping rates to the region from China indicate container shipping may be at risk too.
