The growth in international trade activity in the U.K. slowed to just 1.0% year over year in April after a 12.8% growth in 1Q 2019. Unsurprisingly that was led by a drop in trade with the EU with imports down 6.3% and exports by 6.8% in response to the delayed Brexit process. The latter is currently on pause while the ruling Conservative Party chooses a new Prime Minister.
