Brunswick Provides More Room for Hyundai and Daimler, Success Depends on Tariffs

The Georgia Ports Authority will increase vehicle storage capacity at Brunswick by 1.8x as part of a longer-term plan to double its handling of cars and trucks. Brunswick was the fifth largest port for vehicles in the 12 months to Sept. 30 in the U.S. in a sector led by LA / Long Beach (17.2k shipments vs. Brunswick’s 5.5k). Leading users of the port include Hyundai (16.4% of shipments from outside the U.S., from South Korea) and Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz (7.7%, from Germany).
