Container handling by the South Korean port of Busan reached a new high in March after rising 6%. That followed three months of declines. The expansion was not universal, with shipments to the U.S. falling 4%, Panjiva data shows. Growth should continue though, with the latest export data from South Korea showing 24% growth on a year earlier. Nonetheless, South Korea’s growth in March lagged Singapore’s 7% expansion and China’s 10% jump.
