The Mexican President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, is increasing pressure on mining companies based in Canada to pay their taxes. That comes as Mexican exports of mined ores has soared by 19.0% year over year in April after a 46.7% surge in Q1. The call also comes just ahead of the implementation of new dispute settlement rules under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
