The Miscellaneous Tariff Bill (MTB), which cuts duties for American importers where there are no domestic suppliers has achieved Congressional approval and will shortly be presented to President Trump for passage into law. Panjiva analysis of last year’s petitions show 309 companies with 1,582 petitions were recommended for implementation by the ITC and will see duties reduced by $316 million.
