Europe Fails To Corrode Chinese Steel Exports as New Customers Found

The European Commission has started to register Chinese corrosion-resistant steel exports ahead of a determination on alleged dumping due September 9. Panjiva data shows the threat of tariffs has already led supplies from China to fall 58% in April vs. October. Yet, Chinese suppliers including Tang Shan and Sumec have found customers in South Korea and Vietnam, so exports actually increased 23% over the same period.
