The latest CBI export order-book survey for the U.K. was better than expected, and likely reflects exporters’ hopes for higher orders resulting from the weak pound – despite Brexit uncertainty. The underlying data looks supportive – U.K. exports to the U.S. via sea increased 20% in July according to Panjiva data.
