Hapag-Lloyd has suspended bookings for container shipping from Mexico and Colombia to the west coast of the U.S. due to “accumulated operational constraints” at the North American ports that are causing “challenging transshipment operations and congestion” in Mexico and Colombia. The decision is the latest example of the spreading and sustained challenge from logistics networks disruptions.
