The Indian government has delayed retaliatory duties against U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs for a fourth time, and will now apply them from Mar. 2. While that’s been justified by ongoing trade negotiations there’s been little public sign of their progress. In the meantime Indian seaborne shipments of steel and aluminum have continued to expand with a 10.5% year over year rise in shipments in 4Q 2018.
