The late-summer back-to-school shopping season typically results in a peak in shipments for kids apparel, laptop computers and backpacks in June and July. Imports of the three categories have only risen by 1% on a year earlier in the three months to June 30. Within that however the fortunes of backpack and laptop suppliers are markedly different.
