Container line Maersk expects “shipping containers (will) play a bigger role” in COVID-19 vaccine distribution networks by the middle of 2021. While only certain vaccine variants can travel in reefers (refrigerated containers) the units themselves can be used as onsite storage on arrival of the vaccination.
