Matson joins the 2022 chorus, growth slowing but still substantial

Matson reported Q2’21 revenue growth of 66.9% year over year after the container line’s volume handling jumped 28.4% year over year and shipping rates surged. China-U.S. shipping volumes led the way with 59.1% growth. The firm has joined a chorus of logistics firms expecting current market trends to continue into 2022. CEO Matthew Cox has stated that there will be “a high level of demand at least into Lunar New Year”.
