Miami’s Vice is Air Exports as PCCI Climbs 3%

Corp - Ports 908 Logistics 476 Mode - Airfreight 182 Mode - Seaborne 1845 U.S. 5398

Airfreight via Miami airport fell 0.3% in July on a year earlier, with a 6% drop in international exports to blame – the eighteenth straight international export fall. Nonetheless imports jumped 7%, comfortably beating the 10% decline in seaborne imports into Miami. When combined with Dallas airfreight and seaports around the region, the Panjiva Combined Cargo Index for the southeast region increased 2.6% to its highest since January 2011. That still lagged California and the Northwest though.
