CMA CGM has applied an “Emergency Space Surcharge” of $200 per 20-foot container on shipments from selected south-east India ports to Europe, North Africa and Central / South America. That’s part of a widening set of surcharges and soaring shipping rates resulting from increased demand for services meeting fixed capacity.
