ONE Crushed in Cali as CMA-CGM Swoops In

Container handling at California’s big three ports (LA, Long Beach and Oakland) climbed 4% on a year earlier in September, up from a 1% decline in August. That was mostly due to exports from Los Angeles which climbed 14% as a result of earlier disruptions. Imports across the three ports improved by 3% after a 2% decline on stronger shipments from China ahead of the imposition of duties on $200 billion of exports on September 24.
