Panasonic reported a 26.0% year over year slide in calendar Q2 revenues, including an 18.5% percentage point drop linked by the firm to COVID-19. The management also gave full year profit guidance that was 23.4% below analysts’ consensus estimates. That’s despite expectations that “monthly sales hit bottom in April and May” and that the firm is “not expecting another major outbreak of COVID-19”.
